Official Tasting Notes
Color: Topaz.
Aroma: Rich, smooth. Supported by a pleasant malty, earthy, and spicy bitterness (cinnamon), the aromatic palette quickly opens with notes of tropical fruits (passion fruit, lychee), black berries (grape, blackberry), and undergrowth (dry leaf, porcini mushroom). Then, subtle aromas of prune give it great nobility.
Taste: Clean, lively. At first, Oily, richly peaty, lemony, and peppery, the taste palette evolves towards more honeyed and waxy registers. Constantly gaining in creaminess, it becomes increasingly indulgent (toast, rusk), malty (barley porridge), and deliciously fruity (Mirabelle plum, damson).
Finish: Long, concentrated. Taking on the malty tones of the nose and palate, the finish is refreshed by flavors of gentian, mint, eucalyptus, and sage. Both exotic (passion fruit) and candied (plum), the retro-olfaction is gradually softened by notes of toffee and bourbon vanilla.
Montmartre & Asakusa, two neighborhoods steeped in artistic culture.
Montmarte Label: Bottle #1 to #414; Asakusa Label: Bottle #415 to #828
Montmartre, with its cobbled streets, the silhouette of the Sacré-Coeur, and its cabarets, embodies Paris's bohemian and artistic past. As for Asakusa, it is home to the Sensö-ji temple, one of the oldest in Japan, and vibrates to the rhythm of traditional festivals (matsuri). These two neighborhoods are linked by a cultural history that is both artistic and popular.
Le Marais & Harajuku, two bastions of modernity
Le Marais Label: Bottle #829 to #1,242; Harajuku Label: Bottle #1,243 to #1,656
Le Marais, the epicenter of Paris Fashion Week, with its unparalleled concentration of pop-up stores, art galleries, and coffee shops, resonates with Harajuku: a haunt of trendy youth where lovers of alternative fashion, kawaii culture, bubble tea, and latte art meet.
The Champs-Élysées & Ginza, two showcases of luxury.
Champs-Élysées Label: Bottle #1,657 to #2,070; Ginza Label: Bottle #2,071 to #2,484
The Champs-Élysées, a symbol of Paris in the eyes of the world, combines major fashion houses, international brands, and prestigious palaces. Ginza, its Tokyo counterpart, seduces with its fashion boutiques, glittering skyscrapers, and Michelin-starred restaurants. Two emblematic districts, reflections of unashamed opulence and a luxury that often borders on fantasy
