Dunkin’ Donuts Enters Alcoholic Dunkin' Spiked Coffees & Iced Teas

Dunkin' – the brand we all know for that sugar and caffeine fix – just dropped some news. They're mixing things up by stepping further into the alcoholic beverage scene with the introduction of the Dunkin’ Spiked Iced Coffees and Iced Teas.

This step comes after long time collaborations with craft breweries to produce Dunkin’-inspired, such as the Dunkin' Coffee Porter made in collaboration with Boston's Harpoon Brewery.

Seems they caught on to the fact that their audience was here for it. They saw that people liked the Dunkin' twist on adult beverages and decided, why not do it again, but this time with their iced drinks?

The Spiked Iced Coffee boasts an ABV of 6% and captures those coffee flavours Dunkin' is known for. For those of you who lean more towards tea, Dunkin's got you covered too. Their Spiked Iced Tea holds an ABV of 5%. And there's great variety – which I know we all love.

Coffee fans get Original Iced Coffee, Caramel Iced Coffee, Mocha Iced Coffee and Vanilla Iced Coffee.

Tea drinkers, who might prefer something less sweet, get Slightly Sweet Iced Tea, Half & Half Iced Tea, Strawberry Dragonfruit Iced Tea Refresher and Mango Pineapple Iced Tea Refresher.

The alcohol in these is malt-based, courtesy of Harpoon Brewery – Dunkin's partner-in-crime for their seasonal brews. As for the caffeine content, these come in very friendly. The hard iced coffees have about one-third the caffeine of a typical coffee, and the iced teas even less. So, you can still get a bit of that caffeine kick without it going overboard.

These drinks would be made available in the shelves of US grocery stores in variety packs.

On a side note, the hard-iced tea trend seems to be picking up some pace. Maybe it's the refreshing nature of iced tea paired with a slight buzz, or perhaps it's just the novelty of it. But hey, more options for us, right?
