Dom Pérignon Unveils Vintage 2015 And Rosé 2010 In Collaboration With Takashi Murakami

Famed Champagne Maison Dom Pérignon has announced its new chapter Creation is an eternal journey, beginning with two limited editions designed by artist Takashi Murakami to design two limited editions:
The designs will be for the Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 and the Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2010, which will also launch alongside an Uber piece.
Said Murakami: "Through my collaboration with Dom Pérignon, I wanted to express a form of time travel. My goal is to remain relevant in 100 or 200 years and to transcend time. When the label has aged, and I am gone, and my children are gone, I hope that people of the future, when they see it, will reimagine 2025 in their own minds.”

Murakami’s iconic smiling flowers – emblematic of his expressive universe since his earliest works – will be at the heart of the bottles' exclusive designs.

Infusing Dom Pérignon’s minimalist aesthetic with contrasts and playful intensity, Murukami's Superflat aesthetic with its vivid, kawaii motifs stands against the dark elegance of your classic Dom Pérignon.
The bottles replace the traditional Dom Pérignon vineyard imagery with a fantastical, flourishing flowered landscape, while the coffrets, have Murakami's vibrant flowers framing the shield.
The brand has said the contrast creates poetic tension where refinement meets exuberance, striking a harmony between simplicity and radiance, sophistication and
whimsy.

Born from an exceptionally contrasted year, the Maison has said that Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 is somewhat dark at first, although quickly proves tactile throughout the tasting with a unique sense of touch.
It is also said to be progressively more horizontal, broad and rectilinear with an impressive mouthfeel. The elegant, precise and linear flavors are direct. A subtle bitterness also commands attention, building upon a soothing granular structure.
Accordingly, the Rosé 2010 is said to convey a feeling of self-confidence, refinement, elegance, and majesty.
A culmination of ten years of creative efforts aiming to transform the expression of Dom Pérignon Rosé toward more pinot noir radicality, the expression hails from a demanding harvest that shows a palate with surprising poise that is also lightly powerful, dense and delicate, ample and bound.

The launch of the two expressions will be brought to life in Singapore through an exclusive Dom Pérignon x Takashi Murakami pop-up at Maison Garden from October 30th to November 2nd.
Guests will also have an opportunity to experience the gastronomic skills of Singapore's Dom Pérignon Society Members—chefs Sebastien Lepinoy (Les Amis), David Pynt (Burnt Ends), Emmanuel Stroobant (Saint Pierre), and Jordan Keao (Butcher’s Block).
Each chef will host a dedicated day, curating a unique canapé menu perfectly paired with Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 and Rosé 2009, merging their distinct culinary styles for a profound wine and food pairing experience.
For the new chapter, Murakami is joined by six other iconic creators – actor, director, writer, and producer Zoë Kravitz, three-Michelin-starred chef Clare Smyth, artist Tilda Swinton, dancer and choreographer Alexander Ekman, and musician, singer, actor, and radio presenter Iggy Pop.
