Contraluz Mezcal, known for popularising the Cristalino style, is once again pioneering something incredibly unique - the use of Japanese Sakura casks.
Contraluz 11:11 Reposado has aged its mezcal for 11 months and 11 days in American oak bourbon barrels and cherry wood Sakura casks.
This is said to create a "refined smokiness, decadent cherry blossom notes, and subtle hints of wood."
Only 270 bottles of new expression will be released at 40% ABV.
