Chichibu Edition 2025 Goes Local Barley And In-House Floor Malted

 

We all know there's the Chichibu Paris Edition, London Edition, US Edition, with now also more countries and cities joining the fray, having expanded to even an Australia Edition, but did you know that there's one closer to the distillery's home? 

That's the Chichibu Edition!

The Chichibu Edition 2025 keeps things as local as can be, using 100% local barley that's grow in the Chichibu area itself, that's then floor malted in-house.

Bottled at 50% ABV, it is said to offer a rich, full-bodied flavor with a gorgeous, fruity taste, a pleasantly smooth mouthfeel, and a gentle barley flavor that lingers in the finish. It's even said that the more you drink, the more it reveals its rich character, making it a delightful whiskey to enjoy.

Official Tasting Notes

The aroma combines the fruity notes of citrus and loquat with the sweetness of honey and vanilla and the soft acidity of yogurt. In the mouth, a rich, full-bodied flavor reminiscent of condensed milk or cream spreads, and the flavor of barley and vanilla blend together to create a rich flavor. The finish is smooth and pleasant, with a deep, lingering aftertaste.
