Every year an especially high quality cut of Blanton's single barrel bourbon is bottled for La Maison du Whisky's Golden Promise Bar.

For 2023, the Blanton's Golden Promise bottling will be bottled at the same proof as the famous Gold Edition, and will come from Single Barrel #26, which was matured on the second floor of Warehouse H.

Official Tasting Notes

Aroma

Rich, concentrated. The hot nose (Cayenne) becomes exotic (pineapple, plantain banana) and heady (iris, mimosa). Allowed to breathe, coconut powder coats the surface of an increasingly vanilla, honeyed (acacia) and bitter (gentian) aroma palette.

Taste

Full-bodied, intense. The attack moves from a vanilla register to a chocolate register, with the chocolate’s bitterness refreshing the palate. On the mid-palate, rice pudding and fresh basil flavours create a harmonious duo. The end of the palate brings pineapple.

Finish

Long, silky. The very dense finish is shared between infused (tea, sorrel, camomile), spicy (curry, cardamom, ginger) and fruity (white peach, Mirabelle plum, fresh walnut) notes. The powdery after-taste (cocoa, nutmeg) becomes increasingly honeyed (lavender) and grainy (maize).

This specially selected edition of Blanton's is bottled at 51.5% ABV or 103 Proof.
