Having never had a genuine Welsh cake, I cannot attest as to the success of thos beer in mimicing their taste or texture. Quite unique among modern stouts however, this is tart and fruity, containin a full malty body yet being located somewhere on a spectrum between fruity red ale and the lighter stouts.
