Absolutely magnificent, this is a rare collaboration between the Dublin-based Third Circle and Stone Barrel breweries, producing a Rusian imperial that tips the scales at 9.5% abv and is easily the best Irish imperial I've ever tasted, probably top 5 of all time. The incredible warm richness is probably owed to the barrels which served a decade maturing Kentucky bourbon before making their way to Ireland tocomplete three years ageing premium whiskey there. The result is a deep, rich and delicious beer that goes down like drinking chocolate followed by a warm burn and aftertaste that combines vanilla, dark chocolate, molasses and bourbon. .
