A completely uncomplicated porter that serves as a fine example of what can be achieved with good ingredients and careful brewing. This A&H "flagship" beer is sadly nowhere near as prevalent in pubs as the brewery's IPAs and other offerings but it really does serve as quite an ambassador for the brand. A solid and rich base is complemented by almost chocolatey aftertastes and at a perfect equilibrium of neither too sweet nor too dry, this really is the textbook example of what a quality and uncomplicated porter can be.
