Moon Dog Brewing Timothy Tamothy Slam x Bush - Glycerine

This Singles Session is brought to you by the Bush track “Glycerine”; and the brilliantly tasty “Timothy Tamothy Slam” from Moon Dog Brewing.

Glycerine was written in Gavin Rossdale’s London Flat; feeling that there was an ancient, mystical element to the song as it was coming together. He told Entertainment Weekly in 2017 that "I was like a conduit. Something about it was bigger than anything we were doing."

The song really stands out in their back catalogue, as there is nothing else really like it on any other album. “Glycerine” was written about an ex-girlfriend, and has been described by Rossdale as a song about how love was like a bomb. The Beatles song "Strawberry Fields Forever" is referenced in the line, "We live in a wheel where everyone steals, but when we rise it's like strawberry fields." Bush loved The Beatles and it was John Lennon and Paul McCartney who inspired them to form a band.

The beer for this single is the Chocolate Biscuit Milk Stout “Timothy Tamothy Slam” from Moon Dog Brewing. There are really tasty chocolate biscuit flavours in this rich and smooth brew. The notes from Moon Dog about this brew are that “The smooth chocolate flavours are backed up with biscuit and caramel malt notes and augmented with lactose and cacao to boost the intrinsic chocolate biscuit nature of the beer” We love all of these things about this brew and it’s one of the best dark beers going around.
