I remembered trying a jasmine pale lager by Master Gao in China on a business trip a few years ago. Judging that I didn't had a distinct impression of this beer, I assumed that this IPA from Sunbird would probably be so-so. This ale poured into a reddish brown / copper body, had been quite long since the last time I've seen a dark coloured IPA like this. Opened fruity with piney base aromatics. Taste wise, was a standard IPA - hoppy (high bitterness).
What was interesting or quite to my delight was the jasmine smell. It sorts of creep up the olfactories as a second wave after the taste and initial aroma was fully internalized. This completed the full experience and it was nicely executed. 😊
