"I need something to warm me up in the store." - will this sentence be my famous last words of today?
What a full-bodied imperial stout, with a short stubby sweetness in front and a lingering vanilla, spice and (probably) everything nice that smoothly tunes out at the end. I get sweet banana notes, including its phloem bundles, that adds to this slight rubbery and sticky undertone. A blend of vanilla beans, cinnamon, star anise slides in, followed by cacao nibs and coffee, this stout is either going to wake me up or send me to sleep in a few hours.
Very dense, very velvety & smooth, very thick, it's like the ultimate sweet treat you indulge in when you think you deserve it and may or may not play you like a whack-a-mole later.
