EL TOPO Mexican Oatmeal Stout - a collaboration between @wylam_brewery and #indymanbrewhouse , two northern micro-producers (one of which has since sadly ceased production) the flavour lists for this includes chipotles, chillies, cinnamon, lime and cacao nibs - more at home in a Mexican restaurant than a pub. The beer itself is strong, dry and smooth with the spice flavours masking the 7.2% abv strength. Remarkably, almost full pallette of cooking spices are evident in the aftertaste and though this may be overpowering for some, it makes this a great winter's night beer.
