Early to the Party | Fruited gose 5.3% ABV Passionfruit and apricot Left Handed Giant Brewing Co Bristol 🇬🇧 Ordered from Quality Drops Beer Singapore 🇸🇬
Tl;dr passion fruit and apricot work better in fruited sours than berries. Fight me — I mean sponsor me an Omnipollo Bianca!
Oh hey, I’m bigging up yet another fruited gose by LHG. This style has long been one of my least favourite on account of it tasting the least like “beer” but I’ve gradually come around to it, in no small part due to the excellence of LHG’s offerings.
What I like about Early to the Party is how the fruit flavours jive with those that you get from some hop varietals, especially the passion fruit notes. Kind of like a good New Zealand hopped IPA but sour and juicy.
I might even say that I rate this over LHG’s Don’t Slip, which is more berries-based.
