Coco Batter, Pastry Stout, Pulpit Rock

Coco Batter | Pulpit Rock
Imperial Pastry Stout | ABV 11.2%

Oooo a very dark and thick one, sweet but somewhat spice-y and quite roasty. Leans more towards the sweet side than bitter, malty and coffee-ish.

Think, freshly baked walnut/pecan brownies, fluffy than fudgey brownies, but quite dense in flavours. Strong aromas of toasted coconut flakes and shavings, very nutty, smooth and malty. Not too heavy on the vanilla or milk sugar/powder but it's very creamy. Coats all round, in a good way.

This is just my way of drinking but I dissect beers in a gulp/sip way - when I gulp this, it's very smooth and chocolatey, like a blend of cacao nibs, dark chocolate, chocolate chips that still gives the beer (somewhat) a rough and gritty texture. But when I sip this, I get more booze in this, coconut and drip coffee characteristics. Interesting!
