Brick Lane Brewery Supernova IPA x Soundgarden - Ty Cobb

The next choice is both the first time we've heard this band, and it's kind of timely considering the remaining band members are sadly going through legal action with their lead singers widow. Head over to @loudwire for all the details on this disappointing story.

The band is @soundgarden and the album is Down On The Upside.

The album is a brilliant mix of almost perfect song writing, perfect musicianship and gives you a feeling that you can't put into words right from the opening riff of the opening track "Pretty Noose", the melodic verses and then the raw power of the chorus of "Blow Up The Outside World", the fast pace and crazy energy of "No Attention" and finishing off with the @pearljam like feel of the closing track "Boot Camp".

The vocals of @chriscornellofficial was something truely amazing to behold, and we still have a very heavy heart that we will never hear it live again.

Down On The Upside is the band's 5th release and would be their last release for 16 years, when the band split in April 1997 after tensions grew within the band. After their split, their drummer @themattcameron would move on to join @pearljam.

The album reached #1 in Australia and New Zealand, #2 in Canada and the U.S; and also made the Top 10 in Sweden, Finland, Norway and the UK. The album has sold well over 1 million copies worldwide. "Burden In My Hand" also made the 1996 @triple_j Hottest 100.

Now for the beer, now it's fair to say that this album was a beer, it would the Brick Lane Breweries Supernova IPA. It really does a punch with its notes of tangerine, mango, lychee, pine and green pepper.

The brew brilliantly uses Mosiac, Equanot and Centennial and lots of Citra hops. The beer has a great range and is a really powerful. All of that makes it fit really well with the band and the album.
