Brewerkz’s Oatmeal Stout has been a favourite in my circle of beer geeks, chief of whom being @kangcore. I have good memories of the original version, which was made till about 2018 according to Untappd.
The current recipe, which you can get in cans at Cold Storage supermarket, is drier, more acidic, and has a curious banana note on the palate that recalls a German dunkel.
It doesn’t quite live up to my memory of the original, but Brewerkz has been putting out enough good beers (like their collaboration with Smith Street Taps) that I’d try to have this on draft before writing it off completely.
